We’re delighted to be joined on Thursday 12 November at 7 PM by two excellent speakers for a discussion on the evolving “illiberal democracies” in Poland and Hungary and the challenge they pose to the rule of law in the European Union.

Stanley Bill is Senior Lecturer in Polish Studies at the University of Cambridge and founding editor of the Notes from Poland news and analysis website.

Márta Pardavi is co-chair of the Hungarian Helsinki Committee, a leading human rights NGO in Budapest, and currently a Policy Leader Fellow at the European University Institute School of Transnational Governance.
