On the evening of 1 November 2017 we will welcome Liverpool Law School’s Professor Michael Dougan to Cambridge for a talk on Brexit (title tbc – it’s a rapidly evolving situation!).

As Professor of European Law and Jean Monnet Chair in EU Law, at the University of Liverpool, Michael Dougan is one of the foremost experts on the constitutional implications of leaving the EU, and has given written and live expert testimony to the UK Parliament’s House of Commons’ European Scrutiny Committee and Foreign Affairs Select Committee, as well as the House of Lords European Union Committee, amongst many others.

In the run-up to last year’s EU referendum Prof. Dougan gained prominence for his dissection of the legal arguments put forward by the pro-Brexit campaign, where he showed how it had “degenerated into dishonesty on an industrial scale”.

Since then he has continued to provide incisive and often quite ruthless analysis of how Brexit and the negotiations are playing out, including this recent video looking at Brexit one year on.

We expect that this will be a very interesting evening indeed!

This is a ticket only event. Book your tickets now on Eventbrite!
