Late last year the UK Government went back on their earlier promise and announced that the UK would be leaving the Erasmus+ educational programme, and partially replacing it with a new Turing scheme. But is the Turing scheme an adequate replacement?

Our online panel discussion at 8 PM on Wednesday 19 May will explore why the UK should rejoin the Erasmus+ scheme, and how this can be achieved.

Panelists will include:

  • Dr Ian James – Reader in Modern French Literature and Thought at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Modern & Medieval Languages
  • Anna Grainger – Modern Languages teacher and former eTwinning ambassador, based in Coventry, campaigning to allow all young people to have the same opportunities for language learning and immersing themselves in other cultures that she had.
  • Dr Cahir O’Kane – Reader in Genetics at the University of Cambridge
  • Julius Lajtha – President, Young European Movement UK

We look forward to welcoming you to this interesting and urgent discussion.
